This program provides the training required for compliance with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSR).

Scope:

This interactive course is comprised of 18 hours of classroom activity, usually over a 3 day period and is specifically designed to meet the training needs of those individuals in charge of implementing a Marine Facility Security Plan. This course framework has been developed to meet the requirements of the ISPS Code for global standards of Port Facility Security Officer roles and responsibilities as set out in the guidelines of IMO Model Course 3.19.

 

Objectives:

After successful completion of the course the trainees will be able to undertake the duties and responsibilities for implementing a Marine Facility Security Plan. This includes security actions to perform security drills and exercises, reviews of security documents, audits of security activities, conducting security inspections, reporting and responding to security threats, security incidents and breaches of security, security training and support to port personnel and record keeping requirements.
